Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (HANDICO) is the first "90 corporation" of Hanoi City, it was established in 1999 aimed at meeting the renovation requirements in the fields of construction, development of housing and urban areas of the city.

With 17 directly under member units since newly established, after the construction and development, at present, HANDICO has nearly 70 directly under units located in Hanoi and many provinces, cities in the whole country such as Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Ho Chi Minh city… The production organization scale of HANDICO is developed constantly; it ensures capital preservation and development ability; the market is consolidated and widened constantly.

With sound development strategy, HANDICO quickly implemented the objective to become one of the strong, potential Corporations; it is the main unit of the city in implementing the social housing fund such as housing for pupils – students, housing for workers at the industrial zones, housing for low-income people, resettlement housing (Trung Hoa – Nhan Chinh urban area; Cau Dien; My Dinh II housing for students; Housing for workers in Kim Chung, Dong Anh and Phu Nghia Industrial Zone, HACINCO student village…). Modern, new urban areas constructed by HANDICO such as Co Nhue – Xuan Dinh, Dai Kim – Dinh Cong, Me Tri Ha, Sai Dong – Long Bien, Vinh Hoang, Trung Van… also contribute a great part in changing the architecture face of the Capital.

Besides the main business production fields, HANDICO concentrates on stepping up the multi-career production under the direction of widening the markets inside the country and the countries in the region.

Shifting to the operation under the model of parent Company – subsidiary Company in 2005, HANDICO continue to develop, improve the business production efficiency.
